Ocean Beach Wednesday Morning 7 a.m.
The sun was my friend, smiling briefly,
checking ID’s at the door.
Then purple clouds walked in and distracted me.
They were buxom and sexy and moved like they knew it.
Self conscious jade waves slipped by me on their march to oblivion.
I cradled my drink and held up a wall.
A few came over to shake hands
make small talk.
They weren’t quite as tall as me
and for the most part well behaved.
But a couple of ’em got out of hand.
I had to take them outside
and rough them up.
