Curt Anderson – Instructions on Building a Shadow

Curt Anderson

Instructions on Building a Shadow

Extremity of pause,
Skating after

Swirling oak, damp
Tendrils, bending

To slip sideways,
A dream, materials.

But, two things
Chopping vegetables.

Heft of, nothing
Written down.

Dust to dangle
Anesthesia, behind

An arm, a shoulder.
Glue gray sample

Carted home, though
No home, dusk

As clutter, as kiss,
The sleepy miner.
