It must have taken some nerve
the jump
it’s quite a distance between the acacia
trunk
and the streetlight pole
but she managed it somehow (maybe she’s used to it)
and the spiderweb, not quite
an even spiral,
and angled in an odd slender relationship to lamplight
and tree branches,
got itself woven
and held on
