Grapple

Written on sheet sweat
thick thought waking
puffy sleep tricks.

Dreams lean as leopards
hunting & thieving
dance edges wild.

Your tongue fills out
the balloon, no, not this one.

(Those rooms in a building
stairs, dirty bathrooms
and something you’d forgotten.)

Get out of the plumbing & into the trees!

Sun plants delicate kisses
on the window
we grab it, shatter old air

grapple on the grass.
